The Trainee Engineer Scheme (TES) aims to facilitate engineering graduates in qualifying for registration with the Council of Registered Professional Engineers (CRPE) of Mauritius, thereby enabling them to function independently as fully qualified engineers. Administered with the support of the Institute of Engineers (Mauritius), the scheme organises comprehensive two-year training programs tailored for each graduate's field of expertise as recommended by the Council of Registered Professional Engineers (CRPE).
a)
Eligibility Criteria
> Candidates should be holders of a degree in fields such as Civil, Electrical & Electronics, and Mechanical, recognized by the Council of Registered Professional Engineers of Mauritius as qualifying for registration under Ordinance No. 49 of 1965, as amended by Ordinance No. 9 of 1967.
β > Candidates have to complete two yearsβ practical training prescribed by the Council to qualify for registration under the above-mentioned Ordinance. Applicant shall produce an Eligibility Certificate from CRPE.
b)
Stipend:
The monthly stipend to graduates in Engineering under the training scheme is Rs 26,050
Candidates must register on the Mauritius Jobs website at
https://mauritiusjobs.govmu.org/
and complete the online registration form.
Qualified applicants are then required to visit the Training Programme Unit, Ministry of Labour and Industrial Relations, Level 8, Victoria House, Port Louis, in person to submit their application.β
